caffeine and other stimulants

I have noticed when I drink coffee or soda with caffeine it often triggers a gag reflex that is pretty uncomfortable. I first noticed this when I around 7 or 8 and prescribed ritalin which had this side effect. Is this a stomach problem or maybe an anxiety problem.

I take ritalin 20mg 2 times a day. Just recently I start gaging an vomiting.  An feels like heartburn after but it's not it's stomach acid..  I been taking this since ive been in 5th grade an never have had a problem.  Anyone no whats going on or y this could be happening.  The medicine still works just I'm having these problems.

Diagnosis: throat examination, bloodwork, X-ray of the chest and, if necessary, bronhoscopy. Tuberculosis and cancer are two possibilites; i guess this is not news for you. Visit a doctor and ask for investigations in next DAYS.

it was bright like blood from a cut so i guess from the lungs.

There was a blood in the vomit OR/AND in what you cought up? I mean, can you tell was it from stomach or from lungs?

tonight I got sick after eating some doritos and threw up. after that I coughed up specs of blood. could this be from an ulcer or what's going on?

Well i haven't taken Ritalin regularly in a long time and I hardly drink any caffeine anymore. I would like to drink caffeine because lately I have been feeling really tired and could use the boost.

Your problem probably originates from combination of Ritalin, which has "tics" (muscular spasms) among its side effects. Caffeine is just another stimulant. What do you think about dropping caffeine totally?
