associated with GERD? Spoke with my GI doc today who says he did give this to me, but all my records indicate he did and for seven years. This has infact lowered my function of the LES by as much as 30%, which explains all the damage. Did my GI make a serious mistake and now I am paying for this, please any help.
Thanks for being so kind in writing to me. I am on Nifediphine which does lower the LES by as much as 30-40%. This one drug should not be used as the damage to the esphogus has been proved. But what do I take to stop my spasms
.I asked my GI if I could go off this medication and he said to try it. He wants me to try another one. I have made several changes in food, medicines, stopped smoking
awhile ago, everything he has said. But alot of times he does not even remember what he gave me ,etc. So I am going to a new GI for a second opinion. I am a wreck, I do expect a miracle just some relief.
