My wife has been throwing up for weeks now and there seems to be no end in sight. They have diagnosed her with gastro-parisis, but I don't think that it is the case. The firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc emptying test she had, she was on delotid for about a week and half, and the test came back as her stomach not emptying. For the next few days the doctors spent looking for reasons that she would have gastroparisis, everything we could think of came back negative, so they concluded that it was idiopathicBell's palsy Fibrous dysplasia Guillain-barre syndrome Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy Idiopathic aplastic anemia Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis Orbital pseudotumor Pseudotumor cerebri. After that we went on the assumption that she did have gastroparisis and tried to stick to the diet. During that time we ended up in the ER another three times, noting which foods caused the problem. It was high fat foods. MilkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal, Cheese, anything high in fat caused us to go to the ER. So we cutCuts and puncture wounds that out of her diet completely and we kept her out of the hospital for two months. She's eaten things that ,from what i understand, a person with gastroparisis shouldn't be able to eat. Like steak, vegetablesVegetable laxative with skin on them, things that should be considered hard to digest. That's why I find it hard to believe in the gastro parisis diagnosis. So during those two months we saw a specialist while we were in maryland and he suggested that it might be her gall bladder causing all of this because of the trigger from high fats. we did the HIDA scan and it came back positive that her gall bladder was no longer functioning properly. So she had surgery and afterwards we slowly started to see if she could tolerate fats agian. Turns out that she can't. Right now her stomach is rejecting anything that goes into it, even water. The specialists back home aren't much help they are just having us try different medicines for gastroparisis instead of looking in other directions. Just wondering if there might be any other ideas out there.
Have them check her pituitary gland for a tumor. My friend had these same symptoms, and they went in and removed her gallbladder, thinking this would stop the vomiting. It didn't, and they did a scan and found out she had a tumor on her pituitary gland. Don't freak out, it can be taken care of. Best wishes.
you should have the sphincter oddi checked. It can be googled to see if the symtoms might fit. But a friend had surgery for it after throwing up constantly and it could only be stopped for a very short time when she went to the ER. Good luck!!
