carcinoid tumors

Hello, my name is cristie. I just found out that i have a carciniod tumor in my rectum. Should I be worried? Is this a normal thing to happen?

please help me.... I am a little worried. I am only 30 years old!!!

Cristie, with a carcinoid tumor you need to be very aggressive in how you look for treatment. You need to find the docs that specialize in this problem and do as much reading as you can to find out what the newest and best things are for this problem.

There's a lady I know who has this problem. If I can reach her and get her to post maybe she'll be able to give you some direction.

Christie, can you give me a throwaway E-mail address? I'll forward her E-mail address to you and you can get in touch with her. Her general comments to me include: "Tell her, if indeed she really does have a rectal carcinoid, and it's in early stages, it is one of the few kinds of carcinoids that can be cured!! If it's advanced, it can be aggressive."
