chest pain that wakes me

About 2 or 3 times a month i awake from a sleep with pain in my upper chest area, and right side of my neck. I raise up, sit on the side of the bed and most of the time it subsides. I do have a problem with acid reflux. and I think this could be the problem. Should I have my heart checked or is is a symptom of my acid reflux?

This could be tied in with acid reflux. However, because the pain is in areas that could indicate other problems, you need to have heart issues ruled out just to be on the safe side. Once that is ruled out, you need to contact your doc and try to come up with a plan to better control your acid reflux.
