After a major back surgery I had last year, I went 16 days without a bm. I simply lost the urge to have to have a bm. I had no pain (probably from all my post-op pain meds), no bloating, not flatulance. I felt fine. I kept a diary of my recovery and looked back and noticed my last entry for a bm....and freaked!!!! It had been 16 days. Needless to say, I was so impacted (not blocked) that I found myself needing help. Anyway, I wish u the best!

Definetely increase ur water intake...A LOT!!!! Take a teaspoon of olive oil on an empty stomach in the morning with a squeeze of lemon juice...do this daily. If its been 14 days, u run the risk of already becomming impacted. At this point, u have had toxins in ur body with no way to be released for 14 days. Id recommend a trip to ur caregiver for help or u could try a gentle enema at home. A teaspoon of coconut oil daily will also help with ur choronic constipation. I believe deydration to be a main reason why constipation occurs

If you've got symptoms of a blockage such as pain, fever, etc., you really shouldn't try any at home "remedies" for constipation until you've seen or checked with a doctor.

That said, I like using Phillips Cramp Free.  They are much gentler to your system than a stimulant laxative and won't give you all the cramping and stomach pains that the stimulant ones can.  However, they typically don't work as quickly as the stimulant laxatives either.  The instructions say it's best to take them at night and I usually end up being able to have a normal bowel movement by the next morning.

Some non-medicinal things you could try also are increasing your water intake, increasing fiber, sometimes a probiotic (or even the probiotic yogurts) help.

I hope some of these suggestions help.
