chronic thrush for three years +

I have had weekly thrush infections for over three years now and have yet to find out exactly why this keeps recurring.  My tongue has been cultured, and the coating was found to be Candida albicans.  I've been to quite a few doctors, including ENT, infectious disease, allergy, and gastroenterology specialists.  Not one of them can offer me any advice on how to rid myself of this painful illness, except for advising me to use antifungals on a regular basis.  I find that fluconazole (Diflucan) works better than any of the others I've tried except Mycelex troches (which helps somewhat).  In spite of trying yogurt, lactobacillus pills, caprylic acid, and eating less sugary food, and taking 150 mg of fluconazole daily for a over a week, the infection always returns.  As I have a variety of gastorintestinal conditionns, including ulcerative colitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease, I thought that perhaps the fungus might possibly have invaded my esophagus or stomach, but having had multiple upper and lower endoscopies, no fungi have been found.  However, no culture was done on biopsies of any upper endoscopies I've had.  I should mention that I take a fair amount of medications, including Nexium and Asacol, for my health issues.  I've also been advised to go to an oral specialist and a naturopath (neither of which is covered by my insurance) to get help.

I should mention that in 1979, I became quite ill with pelvic peritonitis and was on massive doses of antibiotics, IV and pills, for over 2 months.  That was when I developed my first thrush infection.  Since that time, I have never failed to get thrush and vaginal yeast in response to these drugs.  I also have had allergies to various molds and fungi since I was 20 years, which necessitated getting immunotherapy through regular injections on and off for years.

I will tell you this and ppl will criticize me for it but I would recommend going to a natural store or a GNC or online store. Buy some 100%  pure oregano oil you can usually find a small vile with an eye dropper lid. When you brush your teeth put 1 to 3 drops on top on the toothpaste on your brush and brush your teeth scrubbing you tongue, teeth, cheeks, and gums. Oregano oil is has antifungal properties and works wonders for many things like gingivitis, kanker sores, burns, etc.
You can also put 1 to 3 drops in with some water mix it up and gargle and swish it through the mouth and spit. And even add 1 to 2 drops to some juice and drink it.
