colitis with dyspasia

I was diagnosed with colitis recently.I had 3 polyps removed and 8 biopsies. The Polyps and the biopsies both show dysplasia. The doctor who did my colonoscopy(surgeon) to me didn't seemed overly concerned. He put me on asacol and after 6 weeks of seeing how I did on the medication refered me back to my regular doctor( family practice).He was very concerned because of the dysplasia. He wants me to go to a gatroenterologist.
After reading up on dysplasia I am sota concerned myself. As most information says if dysplasia is present there is a 20 times greater chance of cancer.
My thought are. .
DO MOST PEOPLE WITH COLITIS HAVE DYSPLASIA?
I was wondering if anyone out there could shed some light on this. If you have colitis with dysplasia what treatment, medications,diet etc.are you on.What has your doctor told you about this condition?
Anything information you feel that is important I would be glad to hear!!!!
