confused

I have all the symptoms of gall bladder disease and the dr thought that was my problem but the hida scan showed a normal functioning gall bladder. What else could it be? I have some pain but mostly discomfort under my right side rib cage, nausea, gas, bloating, indigestion.

I have the same symptoms too.I had a CT scan done of the abdomen and gall bladder ultra sound and all came back normal.Now they think its ulcers.I am having an endoscopy on Monday to rule out ulcers and other possible things.My pain is on the left and right under my rib cage.They said gall bladder could cause pain on left side too.Not sure why.Anyway I am looking forward to hear my results.If there is nothing wrong with endos.then I will see a gall bladder specialist. I really hope you find some answers.

Thanks. My pain is only on the right thats why they went the gall bladder route. I'm sure they well be checking out the stomach next. Good luck to you

i too have all the same symptoms and have had an ultrasound and ct scan come back normal. had an edg and that was normal as well my doc thinks its muscle but i have been an athlete all my life and know its not muscle related if anyone has any suggestions it would b appreciated good luck and i hope they can find some answers to ur pain

I have been having pain on my left side and back for 6 months.  I've been to the ER and 4 different doctors.  Everyone said that it could not be my gallbladder because of the pain on my left side.  Heart was ruled out and I was told it's Reflux.  They put me on Nexium but the symptoms kept on.  The pain was so bad sometimes that I would violently vomit.    I had and EGD last week and while recovering from "sleepy" meds I told the doctor that it's my gallbladder.  He said "no, it's not but just to ease your mind I will order an ultrasound."  Got the results back and guess what,,,,,,it's IS my gallbladder.  I have no stones, but I have sludge and the wall is thickening.   Results were mailed to me, but as of yet the doctors have not returned my calls as to what to do now.  6 months of pain and 4 doctors.  Time to find another doctor
