constant nausea

for the past few years, i have been constantly nauseous.  it has always come in waves... some months are awful, some are okay.  but, each and every day, i feel nauseous at least once.  the past few months, it's been worse.  it has gotten to the point where everywhere i go, i make sure i have an exit plan or garbage can nearby in case i have to be sick.  the thing is, though, i have never actually gotten sick.  i was starting to think that it might be anxiety, but i don't believe it is.  i started drinking lemon water regularly, after i read that lemons can help with digestive issues.  i can usually get past the nausea with drinking lemon water - sometimes with raw ginger mixed in, drinking tea, chewing on raw mint or eating crackers/pretzels.  i have talked to my family doctor about it and he told me it was probably stress - which it is not.  i've had blood tests, but nothing ever shows.  i'm getting extremely frustrated, as it is starting to interfere with my life.  what should i do?

I also have constant nausea and have not been able to find a cause of it.  Have you talked to a doctor.  You might want to try some anti nausea medications.

I would recommend asking your doctor about trying a medicine for acid reflux.  I know it sounds kind of funny because you don't have heartburn or reflux, but rarely the only symptom is nausea.

no, it doesn't matter when, what or if I eat.  Also, no other symptoms.  Sometimes when it gets bad, my heart starts beating fast and I feel almost anxious, but I think that has to do with me thinking about it - i absolutely hate throwing up and will do anything not to.  so i think when i start to feel like i'm going to, i kind of freak myself out because of how much i don't want to.
