for over four years i have had a constant need or desire to clear my throat. sometimes quietly and others harshly and loud. i have gone to two ENTs with no success, been scoped and there is nothing there. it sometimes is gone but mostly there all day and eve. however i have no problem sleeping through the night and it does not begin for awhile after awakening, also when i get a massage, i have no problem for the entire hour and when eating food i am fine however in between eating sometimes i have problems. i have asked numerous physicians with no success. i spoke to neurologist, hypnotist,md,etc. presently trying a herb pill called calm but not helping. anyone ever have a similar problem? it is more aggravating to my family then myself.i am very healthy in every way but this.please help

I am curious to know if anyone has experienced a connection between severe coughing and an allergy to wheat.  I suffered from a severe cough for many years, saw a number of doctors and specialists and was given gastroscopic analysis, I have had many prescriptions over the years (30+)- currently I am using Losec 20mg (1 per day. The Losec helps the indigestion problem, but provides little help for the coughing and associated sputum until I discovered that staying off of wheat in every for.  Since I stopped usning wheat, I have no sputum buildup, virtually no indigestion.  My doctor and specialist tell me that there is no connection, yet I can see a considerable difference.

Looking for and offering evidence of this connection

Many thanks,

Barney
