I had almost all of my colon removed (6ft) on August 27th this year aand I am still experiencing severe pain at the site where it was joined together. I have had many tests to find out where this pain is coming from such as a upper and lower GI scan and a colonoscopy but can still find no relief except by narcotic
pain relievers. It hurts when I lay down flat, roll over, walk, and have a bowel movement. My surgeon says everything looks ok, but I can't believe that because of this much pain. He won't prescibe any more pain medicine but I have gotten some through the emergency
room several times and those are the only times I've had any comfort. Do you have any idea of where my pain might be coming from and what to do about it? they removed my ascending, transverse
, and descending colon and hooked the small leftover piece to my ilieum. My stools are all diarrhea still and my appetite is poor and I am still not gaining back any weight to speak of. thank you for your help. grateful423
