digestive issues?

Im looking for answers. For 2 years I had continuous stomach pain, heartburn and chest pains. I was seen numerous times in the ER when the pain got to bad. Everytime I was told there was nothing wrong. Finally one doctor decided to do a hida scan and found I had a low function gallbladder. it was only 17%. In November I had my gallbladder removed. I had a lot of pain and the heartburn instantly returned.. and I would get nauseas with one bite of food. Went back to my surgeon he referred me to a gastro dr, and prescribed me Prilosec. Prilosec did nothing. While waiting to get in I continued to get worse. Heartburn, throat feels like its on fire, chest pain, acid taste, indigestion, burping, acid coming up every time I burp. Finally got in to the gastro dr. He put me on protonix, and scheduled me for an EGD and Gastric Emptying Test. Both came back fine, but still feel horrible.  Went back to the gastro today to follow up. He changed my dose of protonix, and said to see how that worked. Tonight I woke up sweating, with a horrible pain in my throat, intense heartburn, chest pain and a little light headed. Went to the ER the gave me a GI Cocktail, it numbed my throat and helped the heartburn, never made it past triage. Back home now and have really bad gas and just don't feel well. Anyone  have any suggestions or ideas about what this could be or what to do??

Well, the fact that the antibiotics made you better at all is a sign to me that it's h pylori or something quite similar. Were you doing triple therapy? I know sometime s people have to do two rounds of triple therapy before knocking it out. Regardless, you should be taking probiotics RIGHT NOW to offset all the good bacterias those antibiotics are killing. I would consider researching other means by which people cure and treat h pylori. Some people require One of the only things that help me is drinking a lot of water regularly throughout the day. The more you can dilute and drown out those harsh stomach acids, the better.

Hey I just wanted to say that I've been in a similar hell for the last 2 years and from all the research i've done I gotta say that I have a very strong impression that there are many people out there who test negative for h pylori that are still positive. Have you ever had any ulcers? You're symptoms sound like h pylori or possibly some sort of parasite infection of the intestines. I've tested negative for h pylori a few times, even though I have a peptic ulcer and severe, chronic, debilitating gastritis. Guess what? 90% of all ulcers and cases of chronic gastritis are caused by h pylori. This may or may not be the case with you, but def don't rule it out!
