diversion colitis+treatment

waiting for surgery to remove lower colon and rectum. It is a very long wait. how can I reduce the amount of blood and mucous which can be expelled as much as ten times per day? I have tried many medications and irrigation. Nothing works This condition causes fatigue and weakness I already have a colostomy. Managing this problem is difficult.
