diverticulosis: boiled peanuts?

i had a case of diverticulosis last year. lost a lot of blood but came out of
it ok. bleeding stopped while in emergency.  colonoscopy revealed diverticulosis not itis, and i was given a set of
foods not to eat, nuts being one of them.

what about boiled peanuts, and what if i masticate well? if you
haven't had them, they are soft yet firm and would seem to me to be
digestable,,,,but i am not sure.
