does this sound like IBS or anything more serious?

The last few months I've had pressure in my upper stomach between my ribs and and little lower. Sometimes it feels like it is being squeesed. Well last week I had really bad sharp pains and it felt tender to the touch. I also have terrible back pain in my upper back. It is not tender anymore but it still hurts. I went to the E.R last night because I could not take it anymore. The Dr. listened to my stomach and said it defiently sounded strange, and he was confident I have IBS. I found that odd because I can't recall the last time I've had diarhea (diarrhea) and I'm not really constipated. Everything is as normal as it gets as far as that is concerned.
I'm only 18 but I can't help but worry about pancreatic cancer or anything else that may be serious. My pain comes and goes and does seem at it's worst at night. The back pain feels miserable and is so deep down. I'm just wondering is this is IBS cuase I'm not so sure. I didn't have any testing or blood work done either, cause the doctor was so confident and sent me home.

I am having similar problems other than back pains. I have found that drinkin milk when the pain starts helps a lot. But i really want to know what is wrong with me and i am praying that it is nothing serious, im only 15 and i have been readin some stuff and some of it scares me, like chron's diesese or something. If you have found the aswer to your problem, please let me know. please and thank you.
