dumping syndrome and what option do I have now

Hello, Posted a few weeks ago and received some good advice.  Did go to primary doctor in regards to my dumping syndrome.  She is calling my problem Short bowel syndrome secondary to Bilroth 2. She said that the surgeon is saying that the dumping should get better, He wants to give it some more time.  It has been 61/2 months so far.  I am continueing to loose about 10 pounds a month.  Fell really rotten all the time.  I spend a lot of my day laying down and I am light headedness most of the time.  I take Zofran to help with the vomiting.  My pcd is really concerned and did a bunch of lab work last week which shows vitamin and mineral difiecient and protien defiecent.  She has me seeing a nutritionist tomorrow.  She also put me on Lomotil and elavil saying she hope it will help the diarhea (diarrhea) which it doesn't seem to right now.  I am down to 115 pounds now and I don't want to get down any more.  What can I expect from the nutritionist and what can I do now.  My pcd is very concerned.  I also have MS and I am 57 and very active before all this happened.

You may want to google 'eating for short bowel syndrome.' You may be able to get some decent suggestions from the medical-related articles you find in that manner.
