I had routine bloodwork done a few weeks ago, including LFTs. My doctor called and told me that my GGTP was elevated to 70. I had it re checked about a week later and it is still elevated. These test were done by my OB/GYN and now they want to refer me back to my PCP regarding this lab value. I have never had any history of liver problems and am asymptomatic. I drink probably 6-7 glasses of red wine per week. I am 29 years old with no other past medical problems. Should I be concerned about this isolated lab value??
