elevated lipase

I am a 31 year old female recently told I have elevated lipase levels. The reason it was discovered was that after returning from Mexico on April 3 my husband and I both developed diarrhea, I went in on April 8 as things had not cleared up yet. Stool samples all came back fine. I got a call afew days ago about if I had followe dup on my elevated Lipase level, which I had not heard about. I had repeat BW 2 days ago and the levels are the same. The doctor has scheduled an u/s but not until mid May.

I guess my questions are I did read that gastro can cause elevated levels but how soon should they drop? We drank a lot in Mexico (at an all inclusive the booze flows, lol) but I have not drank since I returned, could that still cause elevated levels? Also I found out I am PG on April 8, this could not cause problems for the PG could it? As an RN my first thoughts go to pancreatic cancer as I have no other symptoms to suggest pancreatitis or gallbladder issues. Do you have any other thoughts or can you put my mind at ease a bit?
Thank you
