elevated liver enzymes

I have been taking medication for arthritis and now my liver enzymes are very high.  I have been taken off all medication, but my counts remain very high.  I am sceduled for more blood tests and an ultrasound on my liver.  Does anyone know what high enzyme counts mean and is it dangerous?  Is there a treatment?

Read my post on to Danny22 on 1/28/02. Get re-tested after staying off meat for at least 10 days. Hope it helps!
