elevated liver functions/white blood cells in stool

I have been suffering from chronic diarrhea for about 6 months often times a yellow color and have recently started suffering from nausea.  My family physician did a stool test which came back negative for parasites or infection but there were white blood cells in the stool.  She then ran some blood tests and they came back with elevated liver functions.  I have been referred to a gastroenterologist.  I have been unable to find a connection in both of these tests.  I do have a family history of gall bladder diseases which could explain the symptoms and blood test but I do not see where the white blood cells in the stool would fit in.  What could be the cause of my symptoms along with the elevated liver functions and white blood cells in my stool.

There are various condtions that can be associated with either marked or modest numbers of WBCs in stool.

It's very possible that the two conditions are un-related and you may just be experiencing two separate events. There are other conditions such as some forms of inflammatory bowel condition, however, in which WBCs are found and if the IB disease has provoked a gallbladder issue, liver enzymes will also be elevated.
