enlarged spleen and low white count

Is Hep C the only thing which can cause the following symtoms (symptoms)?

mid morning one saturday I started feeling bad and got worse, starting with head ache and fever. advil and ice would bring down the fever which just came back.

went to med clinic- of course no fever- doctor called back and required me to go to hospital right away. also stating liver enzymes were high.

in hospital all the test only came back with the same high liver enzyme- and no other problem

CT scan showed liver not enlarged- no chirosis. the only thing wrong was my spleen was enlarged.

until that saturday morning I did not have any symtoms (symptoms)- no weight lose, eating had not changed, no pain or juandice.
some times night sweats but I am a 53 year old starting the change.

from hosiptal sent home after to bags of blood- presciptions for Iron, calcium and acid reflux.

a month later went to Gastro Dr and just more test then next appointment to be 3 months later. no other medication but as sent from hospital. also Gastro Dr stated I am over 50 and should have the scope up rear to look for palups.

please comment on what this could be!
