enlarged spleen and very lowe platelet count

I been having sever upper abdominal pain which occurs frequent but not always. I went to the gastro and they has me take blood test sonogram and endoscope. the results showed no stomach conditions byt my blood platlets were very low and my spleen was enlaged. I know have to go see a blood doctor. has anyone had simiar problems.
