esophageal motility

I am a 42 white female. I was just told after having a barium swallow that I have an Esophagus of a 70 or 80 year old.  They said the muscle movement of my esophagus is very slow.  The last couple of weeks I have experienced chest pain and felt like I have a lump in my throat(this feeling is constant). I am supposed to go to a specialist soon to get more info, hopefully on tx.  Have you ever heard of this is someone my age?  I am not overweight, in fact I have lost a couple of pounds in the last month w/out trying.  Eating has been difficult lately and I am tired, I guess from not eating that well.  Just knowing there are others out there with the same thing, having an active life would make me feel better. Thanks "Gerdy"
