Tragically, how long have you been on the meds? And how long have you had on-going reflux? Have you changed your diet to one that is considered a GERD diet? What other modifications have you made to try to change the situation around?
Do you know where the ulceration is located? Your doc may be saying no because you may have only recently been diagnosed, is that a possibility? He also may be suggesting you wait due to your age or to the position of the ulceration. It's really not advisable to wrap the ulceration with the fundoplication area.
