I am new to this forum and found it by searching the internet. Last spring, I was having all kinds of stomach problems, from blood diarrehea to vomiting to loss of appetite and weight. I saw a specialist and went through blood tests, upper and lower GI scopes, and a GI x-ray. Everything was fine. The only thing that the dr. noted was that I had excess acid and bile in my stomach, even after clearing out my system for the scopes. He didn't have any long term solutions other than to take
Sucralfate tablets. After a few weeks, (the symptoms did decrease and I felt better on the
Sucralfate) I decided to go off of the
Sucralfate to see if it made a difference (also, the
Sucralfate is not convenient to take- as you have to take it 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). I have been fine up until recently. The bouts of stomach bloating and uncomfortableness (it's not really a pain-just a dull ache) have returned gradually and I am now worried that the acid has accumulated. I have a lot of sinus infections and am wondering if the drainage from my sinuses goes into my stomach and causes trouble. Has anyone had this trouble? If so, what was most
effectiveEffective strength cough syrup in helping reduce the acid? I don't want to go back to the doctor right away, but I have been taking
