excessive belching after meals

hi! my dad start belching non stop after meals, he went for several doctors but still cant get rid of this problems, he is 57 now and i really hope someone can tell me why and is there any treatment for this?

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I would recommend he talk to his doctor about trying to eat many smaller meals throughout the day.  Has he had any tests done?  He could also try eliminating different foods from his diet with his doctors consent.

hi! ya he done a test on his stools few months ago, and he looked for several doctors, they told him that it might caused by IBS, but seems cant get rid of this problem, after every meals, he belch a lot and his upper stomach feels tight and bloated. he s trying Gaviscon now, hope it works. normal blood test can test any allergic on food? thanks for your advise!

A stool test can't "show" IBS, but a stool test can be normal making the doctor think that it is more likely to be IBS.  Blood tests can test for allergies to foods.

I had an endoscopy for swallowing problems and belching. My swallowing and bleching got worse after the endoscopy. My doctor before I went said I'm border-line anemic and there was nothing wrong with my throat.. has anyone expereinced and what was the solution ?.
