hernia, and whenever I am off of Nexium ( my bad ) I get bleeding and bad ulceration. I have had several scopes over the years negative for Barrett's. My new GI doctor, says I do NOT need scopes now and that he would only do one if I had symptoms like bleeding or swallowing
problems, etc. My concern is this: with my long history and risk, could it have been that a tiny section of Barretts have been not biopsied and it is there, and will not be caught because I am not being scoped every so often? A doc cannot biopsy an entire big piece of tissue, so it would seem that it is a hit or miss risk, that would have better odds of being caught if I were biopsied from time to time. PLease advise.
