I had my gallbladder taken out on 6/19/09, I was in pain for months and couldn't eat anything, but chicken and salad's. Now that I have my GB out, I'm in pain always and can't eat anything (gets me sick) up most of every night in pain. Have sharp pain on my right side above my ribs
everyday, for a couple of hours. Always feel like throwing up all the time. I am so angry, because doctors say I'm fine. I want my life back. I want to be able to eat again. I'm loosing so much weight. Someone please help me and let me know what I can do.
I feel your pain and I know exactly how you feel. I have been going through the same thing since having my gallbladder taken out 5/12/09. I was better for maybe 3 days and then everything came back. Since then I have been through hell trying to get someone to understand I can't live life from my couch. This problem has completely disabled me, haven't worked in over 2 months. I had an ERCP and sphincterotomy of the sphincter
of oddi last week. I was better for a few days then back to being sick again. Today I went in to get a second opinion and I think I want to make this guy my new primary
. He seemed to understand what I was telling him and agreed I couldn't live like this. His advice was to see a different GI but he only accepts certain patients so I'm waiting to see if he will take me. I hope so because he is supposed to be one of the best in my state. If nothing else I at least have more pain meds now in case it gets too bad. My old primary
insisted I was fine and that I was just going to have to learn to live with my symptoms. Before April I was fine so no I will not learn to live with this! I too just want my life back. Sorry I'm not much help but I can offer you some support. You are not alone.
