Hi, My husband had got stomach pain in Oct' 09, he was admitted in the hospital, where they did ultrasound scan and said he had gall stones, but they did not do any surgery because gallbladder was infected so he was kept in hospital for 1 week and was given antibiotics. Then they told us after 3 months he will be operated and told to come for weekly check up. But my husband did not visit he took some home remidies and kept quite. Again in Feb '10 he got the same pain, he was admitted to hospital again, now the doctors found out his gall bladder is contracted from ultrasound scan. He stayed in hospital for 2 weeks on antibiotics. He was done MRCP which said he has acute
because they say there are no medicines for it. So they have given antibiotics to be taken and after 3 months they would operate and remove gall bladder.
, i had to stay in hospital 10 days and was told that i needed an emergency op to remove the gallbladder but they hadto wait till the pancreatitis got better so for 10 days i was n heavy pain meds no food at all until they operated then i was allowed home the next day!
so the advise i would give is speak to your family doctor about the pancreatitis and explain that the gallstones are most probably causing it and see if he will rush through the op for you its worth a try!
if not look up gallstones diet and pancreatitis diet basically no high fat food it will cause extreme pain !!
pancreatitis diet is also a low fat diet but youll have to look them up to be more prescise hope this helps a bit
