what is more safe,laparascopy of gallblader or open chole operation?

Hi,
Both procedures are safe...but the laproscopic is MUCH less invasive. Most doctors prefer this method, as it is less healing time, out patient surgery and there are only 3 or 4 little holes instead of a 5 inch scar and days in the hospital.
My friend had the laproscopic and she was up and around in 2 days! Bandaids instead of stitches.
