gastristis and h pylori

I took 4 days of a anti inflammatory medicine 1500mg a day for hip bursitis. After four days stomach was burning bad and quit taking meds. A few daays later could not eat a bite of food . Prior to this I have never has any stomach issues or acid issues. Lost 12 pds went to gi did the scope saw and biospy cmae back moderate to severe gasritis and h pylori. I have read all about h pylori and I am still afraid to take prepak because of side effects and i reacted badly to antiinflammation and a drug called levaquin back in Jan.. I am on nexium for 8 weeks, my gi thinks gasritis should heal.. I have read after problems being worse after erracatied of h pylori because of damage from antibiotics. I am hestiate from staRTING PREPAK. i WAS living with h pylori just fine with no systoms anyone on here ever decided not to treat it, anyboby doctors think h pylori in non systoms patients might not be warranted? Has anyone been cured of gastrtis in 8 weeks. Thanks..
