About 10 years ago I had my gallbladder removed. I never really had a regular bowel movement after (mostly went from severe diarrhea to severe constipation) nor am I able to tolerate much fried food, which isn't a bad thing. A few years later I was diagnosed with diverticulosis throughout all of my intestines with extremely painful
to the diagnosis. Everything I have read on the internet says that it comes from uncontrolled (high) blood sugar levels, which I do not have. I have also read that it can come from previous stomach surgery, which would include removing my gallbladder, and sometimes from viral infections, (I had mono as a teenager and a relapse six months later and about 8 years ago I had Bells
I am wondering if I should see an endocrinologist to see if there is something else triggering these problems. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired.
It can also be caused by any traumatic injury. I have gastropareisis and the only thing I could find in my past as a possible cause was a fall off a trampoline when i was a child (landed on my back and chipped a vertebrae). I saw that you are a type II diabetic so you probably had elevated sugars for an unknown time before your diagnosis. Are you on any meds for it? I tried reglan and that made my heart race so I take domperidone it works well to aid digestion. domperidone is basically reglan with no side effects!! I'm in the USA and it's not FDA approved only because they haven't done any studies on it. It's an approved drug in canada so my doc wrote me a prescription and i get it filled at a compounded pharmacy which supplies meds from canada. or you can order from online pharmacies. It took away all my symptoms including nightime regurgitation and I actually feel like my stomach is empty in the morning. hope that helps you..
