gastroschisis and brain function

by Candi831, Oct 21, 2009 11:50AM
My son was born with Gastroschisis 7 years ago. While I was pregnant, I recall the Dr. stating that my son would would have brain function problems ("slow", not all there). I cant find anything on the web that has to do with brain function in gastroschisis children. I believe my son is ADHD. Could this be a factor of gastroschisis? Could him being born with gastroschisis cause him to be ADHD or have other Brain functioning problems? Or was it all the IV meds giving to him during his first month of life?
