gerd or heart problem

have been having problems with what I thought was irregular heart beats.After loads of test on my heart,including cath. and i wore an event monitor for a month.The dr. says what i am feeling is not irregular heart beats,but symptoms from g.e.r.d.Can this be true?

You bet it can be true! Both my hubby and my boss experienced the same thing. My boss kept seeing a cardiologist insisting he was having chest/ heart pain. Cardiologist insisted his heart was fine. Turned out it was acid reflux, or GERD. Meds took care of the problem. :-)
