greyish claylike feces

my mom is being treated for urinary tract infection with septra ds.she has been taking septra for 5 days now.as well she is suppose to go in for colonscopy on april 6 for rectal prolapse .the medication she was taking before septra was macrobid.when she was on the macrobid it was not helping.she is now getting greylike clay color feces .i am just very concerned about all that is happening please i need some advice.

Have her call her doctor and report the change in her bowel movement color. A change in color to a gray or very light white color could indicate a change in her output of bile. It may be something the doc will want to follow up on.

Also you could have a liver panel ran. Alot of times feces is grey when there are problems with your liver. Go to your Dr. and get a test or visit privatelabmd.com and you can order your own liver panel and only you get the results. it costs about $45. good way to cheaply check certain things.
