The dr told my husband for me to make an appt in a couple of weeks. They were closed friday so I called today and they put the nurse on the line and said the dr was needing to see me asap so I have a appt tom. Acourse you know the first thing that runs in my mind. On the 22nd they removed 4 poylps from my colon and one From the EDG and cleared up a blockege. I have surgery set for the 5th for cysts on both ovaries. What has me scared is the ergent sound in there voice. But I'm scared to death I have hx in my hanily for colon cancer. Everyone tells me not to think about it but that is hard to do.

You have had the appropriate tests if colon or upper GI cancer is a concern.  If there is something to be found, the endoscopies are the most comprehensive tests to evaluate for these.

Awaiting the biopsy results will be the next step.  If there is concern about the pathology - another opinion can be sought.

Other than waiting for the biopsy results, I can't recommend any more tests in the interim.

Your concerns can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

Hang in there!  I know how scary it is, but I just got a good dx after a month.  Sometimes we just run to the worst-case scenario in our minds and it sucks!  Unfortunately, we can't seem to help it.

But hang in there, and let us know how you are doing tomorrow!!

My Gi dr call yesterday and ask me to come to his office today. the result's from the EDG should either lymphoma or some type of infection. I have to have the EDG done Monday.I have surgery set for wensday for ovaries and cyst removal. But I will have to have this done first. Please say a prayer for me.

Hi Thuney, It's where they go done into your stomach & upper intestine and check for polyps and many other things. I got the news today the Pathologist was not pleased with what he seen. So I have to go back Monday to have it done again. He said it was either an infection or lymphoma cancer. But I have faith its an infection. And all I Thought I had to worry about was ovarian surgery. Thank you so very much for caring.

I am glad you are remaining positive about this.  I know how hard that is, believe me.  Whatever is going on with me--and they still haven't found it out, I was positive with what two different doctors told me that I had cancer and was a total mess.  But both have been ruled out--even though my symptoms fit like a T.

So hang in there and let me know how things turn out for you.  I still have 3 more Dr appts within the next week--so at least we are keeping these Drs employed!
