have gas all the time and it smells bad.

Is there an over the counter drug that will help my gas and the smell it produces, it is really embarrassing.  I am 59 and female. I have changed diet to try to eat healthier, and am eating more fruits and vegetables, I am not sure if they add to the gas and smell of it.

I had the same problem.  I tried adding align probiotic and it helped some but I still had lots of gas.  When I started a new diet that took me off all soy, it all stopped completely.  I became sugar free, sugar substitute free, wheat free and especially soy free.  It was a little hard to find things to eat as you can imagine, but all the gas stopped and I have really begun to lose weight after trying for so long without success even though I was eating l200 calories and exercising.  I have not even exercised that much and I have lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks.  I always heard that those protein bars with soy could make you fat....now I believe it.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  First, I would recommend making some more dietary changes.  This would include eliminating lactose, beans, and carbonation from your diet.  If that doesn't help, I would recommend seeing your doctor to discuss possible problems this could be.
