heartburn and gastritis

just started taking carafate. i've been in poor health for 4 years gall bladder removed all kinds of test gastric nuclear emtying study. don't feel good enough to type all the test,bloodwork, endoscopys'e.t.c. just trying one more drug. have tryed too many to list. just found this sight don't know if i can help anyone or if any suggestions you give can help me .desperate times call for drastic measures.

Hi Mitch:  I really feel for you and can relate BIG time!!!   You just have me beat by one yr. as far as feeling badly.  I hope the carafate works,  Is that for bile reflux??
If so it may help as I have read that (prilosec, nexium, prevacid) I think they call them PPI's dont work on Bile.  What is unbelievable is if the Dr. see's the bile WHY do they always prescribe the ppi ???   Now I have learned on this board it can do more harm then good!!!

I think getting my GB out was the beggining of All my problems.  I sincerely believe that
for some, (hopefully one day we'll get an idea of percentage) it really does more harm.
My GB came out because I had pain and stones, But I never had the classic GB pain or pattern, faty foods didn't make a difference then, But they do now!!

I'm sure some others will help you !!!

glad to here from someone.don't feel to bad today.it comes and go's mostly coming.i just keep sticking to the most boring foods you could imagine.but then again.you probably can thanks for the message if you want to know anything and i can help i will try my best.
