heatic adenoma without taking oral comtraceptives

my 17 yr old daughter was diagnosed with "possible hepatic adenoma".  She has never taken any type of oral contraceptives and has been a very healthy child no meds or health issues.  My question is   Is this a usual diagnosis for a child not on oral contaceptives.  The oncologist that we saw yesterday wants to have the tumor removed and sectioned  I need advice on what to do
