helicobactor

Hey guys im posting this question on behalf of my friend, he is 29 yrs of age and suffers with indigestion, swollen stomach regularly and takes lanzaprozol to ease the pain he gets. Pain is very bad in his stomach and also the worse kind of indegestion ever!!  He had an endoscopy the other day and was told that they did a biopsy at the same time. The doc seemed to think it was helicobactor bacteria in the lining of his stomach making it swell and pain ful. Does anyone have any experience of this at all and can you explain a little more?? The internet suggests it can have links to stomach cancer. Please can someone enlighten me x Many Thanks, your comments are appreciated x
