How long would one be on clear liquid diet after a heller surgery? I have heard between 1-3 weeks. I have to be on the clear liquid diet 5 days before surgery too.

From what I can tell from my team of doctors, an example of the return to eating regiment is as follows:
Week 1 - Clear Liquids
Week 2 - All liquids with minimal crushed pulpy foods
Week 3 & 4 - Soft food diet
Week 5 full diet with no hard foods or carbonated beverages

Ever doctor will be different, it is important to get a return to eating regiment from your doctors.
