a mass was found on the top portion of my pancreas also my gallbladder was inlarge. was admitted to hospital for a scope to findout what the mass was for a byobsy. was told they couldn't reach the mass they did nothing else for the mass. instead they tested gallbladder the surgean said he really didn't think my pain was cause by the gallbladder but my doctor had him remove it. that was 2 years ago. when i called my doctor about the mass said he never got the results from scope so i called my surgeon he didn't know anything about a mass on my pancreas. my pain has gotten worse feels almost like i have a kinney infection but pain is up near ribcage and going around to my back. I went to a doctor because my pain was real bad my urine
to my feet. i weighed 130 before surgury but 2 days afterwards i was at 190 and sent home anyways even thought i couldn't walk my legs were so big. It took 2 weeks for my body to move all the weight around i still weight 190 and can not lose it and doctors can't explain it just like they can't explain my pain. How can i get a doctor to check the mass and do something about the pain i'm in i'm a mother of a 12 year old and everything i have read about a mass on the pancreas is all bad news and only a 5 year surv. rate and thats after surgury what about me who the doctors only tried once to get a byabsy and when they couldn't reach it gave up on it. i really believe my gallbladder had nothing to do with it. does anyone else know what i'm going through and what my chances are this mass is cancer and probly has gotten worse these last 2 years does that mean i only have 3 years left please help me i'm scared ans in pain
There's no way for anyone other than a doctor who has seen your records to really understand what is going on. In order to start to find out, you need to get a written copy of your records and read through them so that you can start to understand what might be going on. If you can't read the medical wording, perhaps someone on the forum can help you read through it.
on ALL your written records. Don't let the doc just 'tell' you what the results are - always get a written copy of any tests.
If, after reading the records you still have no answers, you're going to need to find another doc to work with to try to find out what the state of your pancreas actually is.
The chances you have pancreatic cancer are pretty slim, since you are still alive 2 years later without any treatment. Pancreatic cancer is one of the fastest killing cancers, so without any kind of treatment, you would be dead by now to put it bluntly.
