thanks for the info. I did try researching (a little). So that would be at least over 26 years. Sometimes I don't know where he gets these thoughts. It's like if he hasn't heard of it that it must not be so. thanks again.

I don't know where to find data on this, but I asked my mom who has been a doctor for 26 years and she said that they have been performing colonoscopies on women and men usually at age 50 for screening, and people younger than that if they have GI issues or a family history of problems for as long as she's been a doctor and much longer than that too.
