hepatitus and herpes

Does this make my partner more at risk if we both have genital herpes. Of course we don't have sex when we are active.  How does genital herpes and hepatitus (hepatitis) c react?  Is there an active hep c number that anything above it is lesss likely to respond to the drug treatment?  Just let me know if I need to enter questions seperately. Thank you for thsi forum.

I am unaware of a direct connection between hepatitis C and herpes, other that they can both be transmitted sexually.  I am not aware of a "reaction" between the two viruses.

There is not an upper limit to viral load that should preclude treatment - however a higher viral load would make treatment less successful.  There are some types of genotypes of hepatitis C that are more treatment resistant than others (i.e. genotype 1).

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
