HI,  I had a hernia repair 3 weeks ago where bowel was in the hernia.  It was a large hernia but I still have on and off fleeting little discomfor pains on the side of the repair. It is that unusual or will it take awhile yet  large piece of mesh used. Going back to work Mon. with a wgt limit. Done by a laproscope

I know 3 weeks sounds like a long time, but there is still a lot of healing action going on at your surgery site.  It may be weeks to months before you stop noticing discomfort.  As long as it keeps getting better instead of worse, you have nothing to worry about.  Make sure you watch it going back to work!  :-)
