Hi there!
Repair of groin hernia are usually successful and open surgeries have a higher success rate than laparoscopic surgeries. The hernia/ diabetes are unlikely to be responsible for the nausea. While GERD could cause nausea, nausea itself is a very non-specific symptom and could result from GI infection/ inflammation, micronutrient deficiencies, GI motility issues, o non-GI causes such as stress/ anxiety, hormonal/ endocrine imbalances, metabolic issues, micronutrient deficiencies, medication side effect etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an internist initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this helps.
Take care!
I was on nexium for GERD but protonix gave better instant relief to my nausea/acid
sleep apnea destroyed my career, I think I had brain damage and was unable to learn or remember new things and got a trach after 4 years. but with the trach it's been 2 weeks of hell with constant pain, bleeding. the asv ventilator and oxygen failed for me so I got the surgery. last night I finally started to sleep ok on humidified oxygen but then got this nausea after drinking soda, cranberry juice
I'm also having UTI discomfort which wouldn't go away and now on duricef
