hiatial hernia and cardiac arrythmia

Hello,
I have a cardiac arrythmia that is worse when I lie down.  My heart pauses.  It sometimes makes me feel nauseated- and I have been getting the nausea mostly while sitting.  I also had a stomach virus or something about a month ago - which seemed to clear up after a week...but left lingering feelings of occasional nausea, pressure around my diagphram, feeling I have to burp and sometimes the arrythmia worsening after I eat.  The arrythmia occuring after I eat has come and gone for about 15 years, never was much of a problem until recently with the nausea, etc.
I went to my PCC and he said I have gastritis.  Would it be reasonable to go to my  gastroenterologist...and ask her to check for a hiatial hernia?  I had a colonoscopy about a year ago that was okay except for a benign type polyp.
Thank you

I had those symptoms! After no definitive diagnosis, I started researching on-line. Go to Yahoo and pull up "Vagus Nerve Imbalance/Hiatal Hernia Syndrome". This article was fascinating because all my symptoms were there!
Hope this gives you some answers.
Good luck.
