hida scan dr skipped out on cck injection

hida scan dr skipped out on cck injection

quick background: suffering with almost constant URQ pain and discomfort, radiating from under rib cage, to back and right shoulder. Blood work came back clean, Ultrasound showed tonnes of gall stones.  Dr figured it was reflux causing my pain since my gall bladder didn't look sick to her.  Put me on zantac 150mg twice daily.  Still having the pain.  Had a hida scan with cck scheduled for 10am.  They injected me with the radioactive material via intervenous. Snoozed under the machine for about an hour or so.  Nurse came into the room and said the dr looked at my results and I didn't need the cck injection, then she continued to turn my bed and position the machine to take pictures from my right side, arm above my head for 5 minutes before sending me on my way...telling me my family physician will have the results in about 2 weeks...(kinda silly considering most people are told during their appt..)..in my readings, I haven't read of this happening to anyone else...

Why didn't they inject the cck??? and why do you suggest they took pictures from the side as well???? do they take pictures from everyones side during the scan???

tonight Im back in pain again, feeling it mostly in my right upper back, medium discomfort in right upper quadrant and nauseous..blahhh Im so sick of feeling like this!!!
