high iron level

high iron level

I am 31 years old and have been having joint pain for about 2 years.  In the last few months it has become severe particulary knee, ankle and wrists. My total iron count was elevated and my ATL was elevated also. My doctor said it was only slightly elevated so I shouldn't worry. I drink socially maybe once a month a few glasses of wine.  I do not have any family history of liver problems.  I have had four kidney stones in the last four years, and I have Degenerative disc disease.  Other than that I am generally healthy.  I take anti inflamatories and percoset for my back. should I be worried about the high iron level and ATL?
